BECOME A Market owner

A Community-Owned Grocery Store

Market on the Hill is entirely funded and directed by people from the Mt. Pulaski and Southern Logan County community. When we launched the project in 2019, we opened up the co-op to owners buy purchasing preferred stock, common A, or common C stock option (formerly known as membership).

Becoming a Market owner means investing in your community, supporting the local economy and area farmers, and building a sense of belonging with both financial and social benefits. It means taking ownership over the food available in your community and having a say in what happens at your store.

Owners receive store discounts and special perks, which are determined by the elected Board of Directors. Each owner has one vote in annual meeting decisions and is eligible to run for the Board of Directors.

We rely on our owners and—or course—our shoppers to continue to offer fresh, convenient food to the area. Find out more about our community-owned grocery store by reading through our FAQs.

OWNERS & COMMON STOCK

We have common C stock AVAILABLE for purchase to show your support, receive special discounts, become eligible for the Board of Directors, and become a proud owner of this community-owned grocery store.

Owners purchased common stock or preferred stock with the potential of receiving patronage payments or dividends.

We are not currently selling preferred stock OR common stock A. We may sell more shares to fund future projects or expansions in the future.

Interested in becoming an owner? Fill out an application. OR JUST STOP BY THE STORE TO BUY and show your support!
